MEET THE ARTISTS
Illumination 250 brings together a team of nationally and internationally recognized artists whose work transforms public spaces into unforgettable community experiences. Working alongside Hackensack residents, local artists, businesses, and cultural organizations, these artists are developing original works inspired by the city's history, diversity, and shared stories. Through giant puppets, an immersive light installation, an audio flash mob, fiber art, music, performance, participatory and interactive experiences, each artist incorporateds community voices to help shape a once-in-a-generation celebration. You are invited to experience these works that reflect the spirit of the County Seat while commemorating America's 250th anniversary.

LOCAL ARTISTS
Illumination 250 wants to recognize and activate the local arts community as part of the festival. See below for a free professional development opportunity to learn large-scale puppetry, pageantry, and mobile sculpture. And stay tuned - shortly we will be offering other paid and volunteer calls for visual artists, musicians, singers, and dancers to contribute to the culminating light installation and River Songs performance.
